Libertarians of District 33: Where Are You?

Good Day, My Name is Billie-Jean Castillo. I’m the campaign manager for Keith Castillo, Libertarian candidate for Ohio State House District 33, and I have to ask a very serious question: Where are the Libertarians in our own backyard?
We live in a time when anyone can claim the Libertarian label online. Memes get shared. Opinions get voiced. Slogans get posted. But when it comes to real action, real support for real candidates, too many of us disappear.
Our campaign has hosted free events, designed to engage the community, discuss Libertarian principles, and allow every supporter to participate. Yet what do we see? Empty chairs. Volunteer opportunities ignored. Local Libertarians are failing to show up when it matters most.
This isn’t a small problem — it’s a movement problem. Libertarian ideas mean nothing if they don’t translate into real-world action. Posting online, liking memes, or debating policy in private groups does not win elections. Real change happens in our neighborhoods, at our local events, and in the voting booth.
Keith Castillo is running to represent our values in District 33 — freedom, personal responsibility, and smaller government. But he cannot do it alone. He needs supporters who will show up, volunteer, donate, and help build a movement that’s visible and powerful.
Libertarians of District 33, it’s time to step up. Attend an event. Volunteer for a few hours. Donate what you can. Show that Libertarians are more than words — we are action.
We cannot afford to sit on the sidelines while others claim our principles without defending them. If you truly believe in Libertarian ideals, now is the time to act.
Keith Castillo is ready. Are you?
